For sale is a seriously optioned 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera S. This vehicle spent the vast majority of its life in San Diego, California. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Classic Grey leather with factory hardback Sport Seats, this Carrera S retains its original window sticker, books, keys, tool kit, air compressor, and three binders full of extensive service history.
Out of all the 993 Carrera S models produced, this has to be one of the most highly optioned examples. It was factory-equipped with some of the most desirable options available, including the M030 Sport Chassis Package, Limited Slip Differential (220), hardback Sport Seats, lightweight 18-inch Hollow-Spoke Technology wheels, Motor Sound Package, red-painted brake calipers, Porsche-crested headrests, and numerous Porsche Exclusive options.
The combination of the M030 Sport Chassis, Limited Slip Differential and hardback Sport Seats, is exceptionally difficult to find on a Carrera S and is highly sought after by 993 enthusiasts and collectors.
Mechanically, the car runs and drives excellent. It is powered by its original 3.6L flat-six engine paired with its 6-speed manual transmission. The engine sounds fantastic and has plenty of power, while the transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. The clutch engages properly, and the brakes feel strong and responsive.
The car is accompanied by extensive service records from Dieter’s Porsche & BMW Service and Black Forest Automotive documenting a clutch replacement, valve cover gasket and oil leak repairs, steering rack rebuild, Bilstein HD suspension upgrade, Michelin Pilot Sport tires, wheel refinishing, cooling fan service, DME relay replacement, and numerous additional maintenance items.
This vehicle retains its original paint. Paint meter readings are shown in the video. The front end is protected by paint protection film (PPF). It has a clean Carfax with no reported accidents. There is no rust present, and the undercarriage is exceptionally clean.
